In Even When I’m Gone, we continue to see Mia and Ollie’s relationship being shaped and evolving after the cliffhanger we were left with in the first book, as well as their lives, personalities and struggles individually. I was determined to read all her work after loving Stay With Me, and after reading this second instalment, I’m even more positive about it. Nicole Fiorina continued to amaze me with her writing and choice of words, her detailed descriptions of the characters’ feelings and emotions, and the bit of ollie’s poetry that we are blessed with at the beginning of each chapter. With that made clear, though, I have to say that I adored this book. I myself had to let it sit down for a day because, as much as I was loving and DEVOURING Mia and Ollie’s chapter of their life, the emotions I was getting from the events in the book became too much at one point.
